Add Workspace
In 5day.io, Workspace serves as the highest level of organization within your account. It allows you to manage multiple departments, teams, or business units separately while keeping everything connected within the same ecosystem.

Add Workspace
You can create a new workspace in multiple ways within 5day.io:
To create workspace via Quick Add
- From top/left navigation bar, click on 'Quick Add'
- Select 'Workspace' from left bar.
- Create a workspace.
To create workspace via Account Settings
- You should have a permission to access account settings.
- From top/left navigation bar, click on your personal avatar.
- Select 'More' from Account Settings panel.
- Select 'Workspaces' from left panel.
- Click 'Add' to create a workspace.
To create workspace via Workspace Views
- From top/left navigation bar, click on 'Projects' or press 'p' to create workspace via shortcut key.
- Click 'Add' to create a workspace.
Workspace Details
While creating a workspace, following information is needed:

| Icon & Color | Choose a representative icon and color to visually distinguish your workspace |
| Name | Provide a clear and meaningful name of your workspace |
The user who creates the workspace automatically becomes the owner of that workspace.
Ownership can later be updated through the Edit Workspace, if needed.
The newly created workspace will be visible in the Workspace List view.
You can edit, or delete the workspace based on your assigned role and permissions.
Workspace ID
Once the workspace gets created, each will have a its unique ID to access directly via URL.
